Note from Marilyn Laszlo, June 2004 Dear Special Friend…and I mean special. Are we still having fun? Absolutely! Flying, however, can be a little iffy. Sometimes I have as many as eight flights a month. You learn how to do it. Pack simple and dress modestly. I mean you just have to take most of it off to go through security anyway…your jacket, your shoes, your belt, your watch; you have to give ‘um your cell phone, computer, keys, loose money, or anything metal. One woman said, “Let’s just go through naked. It would be a lot faster.” Someone else said, “Why don’t we just lay down on the conveyor belt and go through body and all. We could get a mammogram, MRI, and CT scan all in one go.” Then you wait on the other end for all your things to come through and redress. People forget half their stuff as they hurry to catch their flight. You hear them make announcements all the time on the loud speaker. “Someone left a shoe at security check. Please return to the security check for your shoe.” It is a riot! You have to laugh. What can you do? You can pray for me.
Coming Events: Teen Mission International, Merritt Island, FL – 1000 students We appreciate your prayers and interest. Every partner plays a significant position on our team. Please don’t underestimate the value of your part in this ministry. Regardless of the miles between us, I know that we stand together in our desire to reach those who have not heard. We are seeing God’s blessing in so many ways, and we hope you will also be encouraged and inspired as we share with you the excitement of seeing people’s lives changed through this ministry. Through His direction and your support, people are taking steps to become involved in the Great Commission. God does not cut loose or give up on anyone. I cannot think of anything more exciting or fulfilling than to do all that we can to help – even one – find and then follow Christ! The 2004 schedule is nearly full. It is amazing what He is doing through each opportunity that He gives us to spread the Word. May statistics: 6 mother/daughter banquets, 3 church services, and 15 speaking engagements totaling 1,700 people; drove 790 miles and had 4 flights; North Carolina, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Virginia. Maybe you would like to consider having me speak to one of your groups. I would love to do that. We are partnering with Wycliffe in raising funds for the Aramaic translation project of Iraq, and it is ready to go. You will be receiving information on how to help us fund this project. We will be sending you a free three-minute DVD – live footage from Iraq. Very exciting!
