Laszlo Mission League

Note from Marilyn Laszlo, January 2006

To my beloved monthly Partners,

Well, today is the first day, of the first week, of the first month of a new year - 2006. As you begin this New Year, my prayer for you is that your heart will be filled with joy and confidence in His love for you.

God has powerfully used your prayers and gifts to make the year 2005 a very successful and encouraging year. May God continue His work in the days ahead completely renewing every aspect of our lives as we serve Him.

In 2006 every weekend through May is full and the summer is filling up fast – all weekends in the fall are full except for two God is truly blessing my ministry. My Coordinator, Evelyn Murrian, has scheduled three meetings for 2007, 2008, and 2009. 2009? You have to be kidding!

Well, December 2005 ended up with a bang. On the December 26th-30th, I had the enormous privilege of speaking to nearly 3,000 jr. high and high school students at the Amway Grand Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Wowee! Beautiful.

These students came from various corners of Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan – all from 300 some Wesleyan Churches. What an incredible conference. There were speakers from the famous Saddleback Church in California – Rick Warren’s church.

There were seven different speakers (I was one) and seven different bands – very talented young people. This was a very professional conference/concert. The chorography was unbelievable – the lighting and the colors and the music were outstanding. It was first class.

The impact this conference had on these students was so moving. After my message on Thursday morning I was swamped by hundreds of students - I sold out of books in less than an hour. Many of the students wanted to have some personal time with me , so I stayed an extra day and night and talked to groups of 30-40 from three different churches. One group at breakfast, another at lunch, and one group in the evening. I was very touched emotionally and very encouraged.

My friends, it is this generation that God is truly using to impact our nation. They are very serious about serving the Lord. They really want to make our country and world a better place…they are phenomenal young people. That is exciting. Thank you for your part.

Thank you for praying for me as I speak across the country.

Share in the joy of knowing that your involvement has helped,
Marilyn Laszlo
