Note from Marilyn Laszlo, August 2006 Dear Friend,Your faithful prayers and support for Laszlo Mission League have given us numerous opportunities in sharing God's Word to thousands each month. Helping and encouraging people is such a joy, so thank you for your part in making a positive difference in the lives of so many. Awesome and extraordinary things are happening in the name of Jesus through His servants ... common ordinary people like you and me. We are His vessels, and He fills us with His power, His wisdom, and His love; and people's lives are changed. Here is just one of many responses: She is an excellent presenter...she made missions come alive and stirred the hearts of everyone. She proved a very important point ... that one person can make a mighty difference with God as his or her partner. July Highlights - Hundreds of decisions were made for the Lord
July 1-4: Washington DC - JAMA- Jesus Awakening Movement in America July 14-16: Gothenburg, Nebraska - 1st Baptist Church. What an incredible time I had in the heart of beautiful farmland! I felt right at home. The hills and canyons were breathtaking. I spoke to 120 people in a small, little country church. It was a very touching time. I fell in love with these country folks. July 17-20: Alton Bay Christian Conference, New Hampshire. What a beautiful place this is! I spoke 6 times in 4 days to 300 people .. a wonderful time in the Lord. July 21-24: New York City for my birthday. It was a fun time. We saw Oprah's musical, The Color Purple. It was outstanding. Hilarious and moving. Great music. We saw New York City from one end to the other via the bus tour. That was the way to go. On Sunday we went to The Brooklyn Tabernacle to hear the choir. The pastor gave an excellent and challenging message .. an amazing place. July 30-August 3: Forest Home Christian Conference, Forest Hills, California. There really is no way to adequately describe this most incredible camp in a valley surrounded by huge mountains. It would take a book to explain the history of this famous camp. And believe it or not, there is a book. 700 employees. There are 80 child care workers. There are six different camps for each age level, all independent from the main camp. They each have their own dining room, snack shop, swimming pool, game rooms, lounges, cabins, etc. 250 3-4 year olds, 260 5-6 year olds, 360 jr. high students, 350 high school students, 250 family members, and 3,000 college students on the weekends. These camps run for one week, and another whole group comes in for the next week ... all ages. It goes year around. I spoke every morning for five mornings. I spent a great deal of my time praying with people - probably about 40 or 50. The day started at 6:30am and ended around 11pm in the game rooms. A wonderful way to end the month. I am tired but rejoicing.
Love goes beyond words, PS - The money for the water projects for villages in Papua New Guinea continues to come in, and two villages will soon have clean water. Thank you so much. There are many more villages to reach.
